Set the Foundation for a Smooth Delivery
Preparing your site properly helps protect your investment and ensures a smooth, on-time delivery. Whether you’re setting up a shed, cabin, or tiny house, we’re here to help every step of the way.
The info is in the PDF's here, but it might be easier to see/understand on the webpage below.
Shed Site Preparation
Crushed Stone Pad for Sheds
For sheds and small buildings, we recommend a crushed stone pad built 2 feet larger than your structure in both directions.
Choose from:
Standard Pad: Leveled stone base
Deluxe Pad: Stone pad with treated 4×4 wood border for added definition
This setup ensures stability, drainage, and minimizes dirt splash or moisture problems.
Cabin & Concrete Foundations
Cabins and large structures often require a concrete foundation.Make sure to:
Choose a clear, level site
Pour a frost-protected concrete pad if local code requires
Obtain necessary permits (customer responsibility)
We do not level foundations on-site. This must be completed before delivery.
Concrete Pad (“Cookie”) Foundation for Sheds
A simple option for smaller buildings:
Use 8″x16″x2″ concrete blocks under each skid
One block at each end, and every 4 feet between
Place on firm, level soil or gravel
Tiny House Foundation Guidelines
Special Requirements for Tiny Houses
For long-term durability and code compliance, a proper foundation is required for tiny houses.
A concrete foundation must be installed before delivery
Install sill sealer and a sill plate, fastened securely
Keep anchor bolts at least 4 inches in from all edges
Add gravel at both gable ends and around the building for shed mule access—failure to do so may incur additional fees if delivery is delayed or equipment gets stuck
Your foundation contractor should call us before beginning work to ensure the specs are aligned
Note: Customers are responsible for tie-downs and skirting after the building is placed. For an additional fee, we may assist.
